Heath Ministries is not only about assisting our members with living healthier, happier lives; it is also about reaching out to the surrounding community.
From demonstrating healthy principles at our Sabbath potluck to offering seminars on smoking cessation and stress free living we want to provide lots of ways for people to lead healthy and happy lives.
Each September, the Pocatello SDA Church hosts a booth at the Eastern Idaho State Fair to promote healthy living. Our aim is to show booth visitors how much hidden sugar is in the drinks they consume and the foods they eat. A favorite feature of the booth is the Got Grip strength test. Visitors are able to learn how overall health can impact their every-day lives. They are often surprised how they can improve their strength simply by drinking water.
